Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox born December 25, 1954, Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox was admitted to the Royal Academy of Music in London during the 1970s when she learned the flute piano and harpsichord for three years. Lennox lived on the student allowance, and relied in part-time jobs to increase her funds. Lennox felt that her skills were inferior to those of those of her Royal Academy classmates. So she thought about alternative paths she could take. Lennox started her professional career in 1976 when she joined the band Dragons Playground. However she left before the band went to I.T.V.s talent contest New Faces. She was the voice in The Tourists a British pop band from 1977 to the year 1980. It was here that she got to know Dave Stewart and together they formed The duo Eurythmics. Lennox was working on her own first album Diva. It was released in 1993. The album was hugely successful both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennoxs Sixth Solo Album came out on October 31, 2014. The C.D. The C.D. comprises Lennox's favorite soul, jazz and blues songs of her youth. Lepidoptera came out by Lennox on May 19, 2019. The collection comprised of four songs that were improvised. The E.P. The E.P. is her debut solo album, and is a sequel to an art installation she made at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called Now I Let You go... Annie Lennox born December 25 1954 is a Scottish activist, politician and philanthropist. She is also a musician and singer. The Tourists had a minor success in the late 1970s. Lennox, along with Dave Stewart, a fellow musician, would go on to become famous internationally in the 1980s with the Eurythmics. In 1992, Lennox launched a solo career by releasing her debut album Diva that produced a number of hit songs, such as Why and Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa, her 1995 album studio features cover versions of No MoreI Love Yous as well as The Whiter Shade of Pale. She is credited with the release of six studio albums on her own and a compilation. |
