Maureen Denise McCormick, the sole child from Richard McCormick, and Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills California on 5 August 1956. Her father worked as a school teacher while her mother was a stay at home mom. She has three older brothers: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick is always a fan of singing, dancing and putting on puppet shows. At the age of six, McCormick old, she won the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency phoned and asked her whether she'd like to go into the show business. McCormick was offered her first significant work in 1964, when she appeared in a TV commercial featuring Mattels newest doll Baby Pattaburp. The year that followed, she appeared in another television commercial for Chatty Cathy's doll. Soon afterward, McCormick was chosen by La Jolla Playhouse to play the part of the character Wind It up until It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned for the role of the youngest daughter of the three towheaded girls on The Brady Bunch. The show starred Florence Henderson, Robert Reed and a blended family. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick in her memoir Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published in 2008 McCormick revealed how during the 5th season of the TV show, she was close to losing her the love of her life to her brother Barry Williams. She was 16 years old when she was in the scene; he was 19. The incident would have happened as she describes. But, the time of our romance was not right.
